Dow Edges Up 4.40 Points at 11,811.83

StockWatch (Jakarta) - The Dow Jones Industrial Averages (DJIA) closed higher in the closing on Wednesday (25/6) by 4.40 points (0.04%) at 11,811.83 after falling on (24/6) by 34.93 points (0.29%), as the Nasdaq Composite Index (NCI) climbed 32.98 points (1.39%) at 2,401.26 and the Standard & Poor's 500 (S&P500) index ended up 7.68 points (0.58%) at 1,321.97.

Rebound in the US main stock market index was triggered by shares which stepped up after the Federal Reserve (Fed) decided during the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) to keep the interest rate at level 2%. At the same time, crude oil price decline also brought a positive sentiment into the market.

In the Asia Pacific, stock market indices also stepped up during the morning trading on Thursday (26/6) as Australia's All Ordinaries Index at 10:38 local time rose 74.10 points (1.38%) at 5,437.20, South Korea's Kospi index at 09:39 Seoul time increased 3.26 points (0.19%) at 1,720.91 and Japan's Nikkei 225 Index climbed 49.10 points (0.36%) at 13,875.18.
